Stand for Security

UPS, We're not backing down

This week, Universal Protection Service (UPS) made a move which may have been intended to silence security officers who are working to secure a better future for black and brown workers in Silicon Valley.

Michael Johnson has been a vocal supporter of security officers’ freedom to stick together in a union to improve their jobs. On Tuesday, UPS management removed Michael from his worksite and “offered” him a job that would cut his pay by a third.

He’s not backing down. Two days after UPS removed him from his site, he and his co-workers delivered the signatures of 75 percent of UPS officers in the Valley, demanding UPS recognize the union they’re forming.

Will you stand with Michael?
