Support Obama's Health Care Plan

The first step we need to take to fix our broken healthcare system and get us on the path toward healthcare equality is to tell Congress to pass President Obama's health care plan. His health care plan makes a huge seeks to provide real access to healthcare for minority communities. Obama's recent budget included significant gains for health care equality:

  • Investing $634 billion to expand coverage, improve the system for providing healthcare, and containing costs. It's the first step in making sure everyone has access to health insurance which is crucial to reducing healthcare disparities.
  • Adding $330 million to expand the health care workforce - which is essential for dealing with shortages in minority communities.
  • Creating a new moms visiting nurse program to help families at risk for developing chronic diseases, which affect people of color more than whites.
