SEIU is home to a large population of Haitian members who continue to mourn the loss of life and property in Haiti. We continue to mourn with them.
In the midst of the tragedy that continues to unfold following the earthquake, over 1,200 SEIU health care professionals have volunteered to go to Haiti and give care to the sick and suffering from physical and psychological ailments - including over 200 Creole-speaking members.
Those deployments began last week.
Please sign a card to let the SEIU health care professionals traveling to Haiti know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. We'll be sure to share well-wishes from their brothers and sisters back home. It goes without saying that it's a tragic scene they'll be operating in daily - we're sure they will appreciate your thoughts.
