Republican members of Congress and governors like Rick Scott (R-FL), Tom Corbett (R-PA), Rick Snyder (R-MI) and Scott Walker (R-WI) are waging an unprecedented war against the retirement security and healthcare of seniors. They've put forth a plan that would end Medicare as we know it and protect billions in tax breaks for Big Oil and the rich.

The Republican budget would make devastating cuts to Medicaid, which provides funding for roughly 70% of seniors who receive long term care. Many seniors would be kicked out their nursing homes, and millions of Americans who are already struggling would find it impossible to cover additional costs of caring for their parents, grandparents or relatives.
