Join Our Campaign to Rebuild the Middle Class. We Need the Employee Free Choice Act Now

When workers are free to form a union and earn better wages and affordable health care, it improves our local economy. That's why we need the Employee Free Choice Act--a bill in Congress that would give workers the choice whether to join together and bargain for improvements on the job. That’s how we rebuild an economy that works for everyone again.

The Employee Free Choice Act will:

  • Give workers the choice of how to form their union
  • Enforce stiffer penalties for corporations who illegally fire or intimidate workers who try to form unions
  • Give workers a seat at the table so they can negotiate their contracts—just like CEOs do
Once you finish here, why don't you take a moment to invite your friends?

Why Does Colorado Need the Employee Free Choice Act?

The Employee Free Choice Act will give workers the free choice to form a union, either through majority signup or by a secret ballot election. Currently, the employer decides, often stalling the process and using intimidation tactics that reduce worker support for forming a union. Studies show 30 percent of employers fire pro-union workers, and more than 90 percent force employees to attend mandatory anti-union meetings.

We can’t continue to follow the failed policies of the CEOs and corporations that led us to this economic crisis. Isn’t it time we rebuild an economy that works for everyone again?
