Stop the Kochs from buying the news

Right-wing extremists Charles and David Koch want to buy nine major newspapers owned by the Tribune Company, and we can't allow that to happen.

We count on our local newspapers for unbiased information about the critical issues affecting our communities and the world.

Please join SEIU and community partners and sign our petition to Bruce Karsh, Chairman of the Board of the Tribune Company and President of Oaktree Capital — the largest single owner of Tribune paper stock —urging him to reject the Koch brothers as owners of the Tribune Newspapers.

To:
Bruce Karsh, Oaktree Capital Management
Peter Liguori, President of The Tribune Company

We urge you not to sell the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, or other Tribune Company holdings to David and Charles Koch because of their extreme, propagandist interests which have no place in journalistic endeavors.
