Tell the U.S. Chamber: Let People With H1N1 Use Paid Sick Time

Lack of paid sick time for millions of American workers could worsen this year's flu pandemic. Right now, Congress is taking steps to minimize the spread of H1N1 by passing an emergency bill for employees to receive paid sick time. One bill would require employers with more than 15 workers to provide seven days of paid sick leave.

Despite widespread support for this measure, the U.S. Chamber is trying to kill it. Let's be clear - this legislation was a compromise to begin with. It sunsets after two years and only applies to people with flu-like symptoms - but no compromise is good enough for the U.S. Chamber.
